I had a problem with my roof. Due to inadequate gutters my house had suffered water intrusion off and on for many years, no matter what I did. Finally, a storm damaged the roof so badly I needed anew one. Maggio has worked on Capitol Hill for years and I had seen their signs often. I called them and Steve Zisserman came out. He immediately got my approval when he looked at my gutters and said they were inadequate. The team came and not only gave me a new roof and gutters they also changed the slope in the front to make drainage better. Because I needed new decking (old decking original to the house, 1895) they put in new insulation too. I later had a problem from a fallen tree, they fixed it right away. They cost more, perhaps, but they are so good at their job that I did not mind.

Very good experience! We’ve had some major work done the past few years: entire first floor remodel, screening in two porches, brick repointing, and the roof. Too bad Maggio only does roofs! The initial consult w/Steve Z was lengthy, but detailed. And he didn’t hesitate to climb up in the attic and see the problems close up with his own eyes. He also was available after business hours, so we didn’t have to take time off work. The project went smoothly, and Steve kept checking in. Their prices were higher than other companies, but the customer service and quality was worth it!

Green Roof

We have wanted a green roof on our garage for 15 years. We called Maggio and they led the effort; building the roof and finding all the right experts to get the plants installed. They just finished and I am sitting here looking at my new incredible GREEN ROOF!!! Maggio made this easy and every person we dealt with was superb...

Good experience

We’ve been meaning to write this review for a year now. We were very impressed by Maggio; last year was a particularly challenging year for roofing projects and the team at Maggio worked with us to put our roof on at the time we wanted, dodging snow and rainstorms. Yes, they juggled projects and they asked for some flexibility (either to get better quality materials or to handle some post-storm crisis calls), but they really put their hearts into the job and I have no complaints. At all. They identified some serious roof issues beforehand, put together a comprehensive proposal, didn’t hit us with additional work while accommodating our change-orders during a really busy time. The finished work looks great and it has held up well, solving water and (we suspect) rodent intrusion problems. If you allow these craftsmen some flexibility, they will return the favor. The only minor thing I would suggest is for Maggio to assign a close-out person to ensure the last bits and pieces of documentation and customer sign-off are completed in a timely fashion. We think the Maggio team worked with us to meet our needs, and delivered a strong roof that will last far, far longer than the roof it replaced.

Excellent Roofing Company!

Maggio Roofing is an excellent company --from the technical inspection of my old roof, to proposals on the best materials to use, to the quality of the work, professionalism of the crew, thoroughness of the clean-up process, and after-service customer support. I recommended the company to a neighbor, who also had a great experience. Furthermore, Maggio gave me a recommendation for a masonry contractor to handle a project they couldn't do - - and I'm equally impressed with this firm.

Great service!

Maggio Roofing was an absolutely professional company that took pride in their work and delivered exceptional service. Not only was their communication on point and proactive, they were also very courteous when it came to dealing with me as a client, face to face. The project had a small hiccup where there was an unplanned discrepancy between the verbal agreement and the written and signed contract. This company actually honored the initial verbal agreement and finished the job as requested by me, the client. I hope I don’t have to use them for my current house for a couple of decades but would hire them again for future homes.
