This beautiful historic building has French glaze clay tiles which are no longer being made, but the underlayments were worn out and causing leaks. Since the tiles were irreplaceable, we had to carefully remove them to get underneath. We replaced the underlayments and reinstalled the tiles, moving the better ones to the front. Some tiles had to be repaired using soldered copper. We also did some copper work around the roof's valleys and ridges in order to redirect water to prevent damage to the new underlayments. The results were stunning!
